Higher education is an important step in the life of the young African leaders of tomorrow, which requires a lot of sacrifice. This is why ceremonies are organized by different institutions to celebrate the end of the academic year, congratulate the winners and allow students to fully enjoy the holidays.
In this perspective, the University Institute of Abidjan (IUA), is organizing a gala dinner which will take place on July 30, 2022 around the theme “Afro-culture, African chic”. This initiative, rewarding for the Afro culture is an innovation in the environment because more and more universities today choose on the occasion of events of this kind themes related to foreign cultures.
This strong decision proves the desire of the students to reconnect with their culture, particularly in the field of clothing, in order to let all the beauty, creativity and diversity of African fashion express itself.
Several renowned personalities will be present, including certain artists such as Didi B, Safarel Obiang, Paulo Chakal and many others, all orchestrated by Jean Michel ONNIN as master of ceremonies.
During this gala dinner, it will be a question of celebrating the vision of the founder, the exemplary work of the staff and members of the administration, but also of celebrating the excellence of the students of the University Institute of Abidjan, which is example won the global Young innovators organized by the united nations and the university of Birmingham a few days ago.
During this prestigious competition, the students proposed a project on “producing bricks from the recycling of wicks and plastic waste”. The IUA wins this global competition and becomes the first African university to do so, being opposed in the final to American, English, Chinese and Canadian teams.
To be African is to be part of the culture of the universal, and it must be lived and celebrated continuously.
